OUR FOUNDERS
Our founders bonded over a shared passion for craft beer which evolved into a joint adventure into homebrewing. Installing a brew system into David’s pool house, the two began brewing their own complex recipes, kegging and bottling their beer, and ultimately sharing the fruits of their labor with friends and family. It was during those long brew sessions that they realized their passion for beer and professional expertise could be combined to form a brewery of their own.
DAVID SATTERFIELD
David, founder and visionary, has traveled the world collecting stories and making memories at some of the most famous breweries. During this time, he was inspired to bring you all the things you now experience at Deadwords Brewing.
David is an Orlando native whose goal for Deadwords is award-winning perfection. He maintains a balancing-level of optimism, pragmatism and essential tenacity, in all that he does; all which he acquired during a 15-year career in commercial courtroom litigation, as well as during his tenure at Darden Restaurants, Inc.
David’s experience, passion for craft beer and how it can bring people together, have helped him successfully launch Deadwords Brewing in the midst of a worldwide pandemic. We can’t wait to see what else David has in store for us.
LUKE PRIDGEON
Luke, managing partner, focuses on the operations of Deadwords Brewing, bringing practical parameters and processes to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Luke brings 35 years of experience working in the restaurant, bar, and retail entertainment industries. During that time, he held and mastered positions at every level, from kitchen to front of house, to manager, to owner. Luke has worn all the hats and is here to bring you an unforgettable experience at Deadwords.
For the past six years, David and Luke bonded over their decades-long passion for craft beer.
