10 Reasons To Host Your Wedding Reception At A Brewery

Breweries have become one of the hottest venue choices for modern couples to host their wedding events. Every part of your marriage and wedding celebration can be hosted in a brewery: from the engagement party to the rehearsal dinner, the wedding ceremony to the reception. Breweries offer a contemporary ambiance, flexible entertaining spaces, and great pricing. Deadwords Brewing offers event spaces that are perfect for your wedding reception or other marriage celebration.

1. The Vibe

Breweries have a distinctive vibe that appeals to modern couples. If you’re looking for a fresh, contemporary space, check out your local breweries. Their open spaces and high ceilings offer an airy feel—even for a room full of people. Yet, brewery design elements like exposed pipes, earthy colors, and natural materials make for a unique space that feels cozy and inviting.

2. Great Pricing

Compared to private clubs, hotel event spaces, or attraction venues, breweries offer excellent pricing for private events. For couples looking for a more budget-friendly reception, this makes breweries a great choice.

3. Flexible Spaces

Barrel Room

At Deadwords, our five different private events spaces can be booked individually, or combined in various ways to suit your wedding reception. The entire brewpub can host up to 300 people for larger events. The Main Tasting Room can hold 125 people, and the Covered Patio can hold another 50 people. We also have the Barrel Room, which can host a smaller gathering of 8-40 people. And the Clay Vessel Lounge can host 15-30 people, making it perfect for an intimate gathering, or to be used as a staging area for photos, cakes and gifts, or other reception needs.

4. Celebrate Your Love Of Beer With Your Loved Ones

Breweries make a great choice for beer lovers to share their interests with friends and family. Great beverages make for a great party, and craft beer is having a moment! You and your guests can enjoy seasonal and staple brews, get to know your local brewers, and share your special occasion together.

5. Convenient Bar Set-Up

Having your reception in a brewery is incredibly convenient! With craft beer on tap right there in the space, you also save money on transportation, bar stock, and set-up. Deadwords Brewing has a full selection of craft beers available for your wedding reception party, along with wine, prosecco, cider, specialty canned cocktails, craft sodas, and non-alcoholic beer.

6. The Food

Most breweries have a food menu like the one at Deadwords Brewing: curated to perfectly compliment their beverage offerings. And if you have something different in mind, or have your heart set on serving something specific that your brewery doesn't offer, ask about renting their kitchen for catering your wedding food.

7. Awesome Photo Ops

Those awesome design elements mentioned above? They make for fantastic wedding party photos! And the flexibility of a brewery’s open spaces means that you also have a lot of opportunities to set up photo booths, dancing, and other entertainment for your guests.

8. Pet Friendly Venue

Many couples want their furry family members to be a part of their wedding celebrations. Breweries are well set-up to accommodate your furry friends’ needs. Even though pets are not allowed in the brewery, Deadwords can provide you with pet bowls on our patio upon request!

9. Location Location Location

Breweries are usually in easy to access areas with abundant parking. And the buildings that house them often come with an interesting history. Deadwords is conveniently located in downtown Orlando, FL.

10. Support A Local Business

When you host your wedding reception in a craft brewery, you have the opportunity to support a local business. Small, local businesses can provide you with excellent services and are eager to establish themselves as a desirable private venue. And, you can make lasting memories in a space that you can easily revisit when you want to reminisce about your special day.
